So, as long as at least one member is friends with anyone you want to invite, things are easy. Once you’ve created a group DM, anyone in the DM can invite their friends too.
Select the friends you want to add, then click “Create Group DM”. Once, you’ve selected all the names you want to add, click “Create Group DM”. Simply tick the names of the people you want to add or search for them in the text box. Setting up a group DM with either method is simple, however, to invite someone to a group DM you need to be Discord friends. You can also click on the “New Group DM” icon in the top-right corner of the “Friends” screen. In an existing one-to-one DM, click the “Add friends to DM” icon to create a new DM with you, your friend, and whoever you choose to invite.Īlternatively, you can create an entirely new DM from the “Friends” screen, by clicking the “New Group DM” icon in the top-right corner.
Tip: This doesn’t work in group DMs as you’ll just invite them to the existing DM rather than creating a new one. Note: This method won’t invite someone into your existing DM, rather it will create a new group DM featuring you, the person whose DM you were in, and the users you choose to invite. There are two ways to set up a group DM, the first is to open an existing one-to-one DM, then click the “Add Friends to DM” icon, which can be found just to the left of the search bar in the top-right corner.
